The PEI Fiddlers’ Society was formed to promote, encourage and showcase traditional fiddling around the island. Each of our five Chapters holds practice sessions and often performs at various venues, including ceilidhs, benefits and senior’s homes.  Every year, the Society gives scholarships to keen young fiddlers to attend a fiddle camp of their choice in the Maritimes.

We hope to promote interest through this new and updated website which will be useful for people seeking teachers and repairpeople, as well as for teachers and fiddlers looking for sheet music and mp3 versions of tunes, and for fiddlers looking for sessions and jams and other opportunities to learn to play or improve their playing. 

PEI fiddling has always incorporated tunes from the Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton,French & Acadian traditions, but our fiddlers are also increasingly incorporating tunes composed on the island by many talented home-grown composers. A look through the tune lists of each chapter will give the reader an idea of the amazing variety of tunes played on the island.
