• 50th Anniversary of the PEI Fiddlers Society

    2027 marks an important anniversary for fiddling in Prince Edward Island as it’s the 50th anniversary of the formation of the PEI Fiddlers Society.

    Back in 1977, fiddlers from across the province came together to form several chapters across the Island. Since then, hundreds of players of all ages have shared their time and talent on stages around the region.

    A meeting will be held:

    DATE:  Sunday, October 4

    TIME:  1:00

    WHERE:  The Pourhouse upstairs at The Old Triangle in Charlottetown 

    We want to see if there is interest in planning some sort of celebration to mark this important PEI musical milestone. The celebration could include a concert, a series of concerts, a small festival – all ideas are encouraged.

    None of it can happen without people, so everyone – both musicians and fans of music – are welcome to bring their ideas and their enthusiasm.
