As you may have heard, Canada’s Queen of the Fiddle, Patti Kusturok, needs our help at this time. She fell and broke her arm on Tuesday and when the doctors looked at her X-ray, they had concerns of cancer, so they sent her for a CT scan. Cancer has been found in her arm, a rib, her vertebrae, collarbone & her skull. They know that bone cancer is not the primary cancer. The primary cancer needs to be found and a game plan needs to be put in place for Patti and her medical team to beat the hell out of this dreaded disease.
My good friend Joey McKenzie, from Texas & I have organized a fundraising campaign to help Patti out. She has made her living playing the fiddle, both performing and teaching. This has all come to a grinding halt as she prepares for the fight of her life.
Patti has donated her time numerous times over the years for people in need. I suspect she has brought a smile to your face, with her music on more than 1 occasion. Let’s see if we can help each relieve the financial burden she now faces.
